Good Designer
Good designers are curious and first
and foremost, they observe, take notice and make notes of things others
overlook. A designer loves the special moment when she finds somebody
implementing a DIY solution to compensate for poor design.
Good designers have
a desire to draw upon their observations then improve design standards. Whether
it's human behaviour, poor design or a need for a new design, a designer must
desire to improve what already exists or the evolution of design will cease.
Desire drives action. Good designers desire change.
Good designers have
an understanding of the world around us. They seek out solutions to real
problems and have a desire to make the world a better place. Great designers
know how to share their ideas and make them real.
Good designers understand
context. Context is what enables us to make sense of things. Context includes
details that allow us to decide if something is relevant.
Good designers are
unbound by rules. Designers need to understand social norms, expectations and
limitations of manufacturing, marketing and other aspects of design
implementation. However, rather than being limited by beliefs, precedents, and
expectations, great designers are open to the less-than-obvious solutions to
problems.
Good designers are
sensitive to how their creations will be integrated as well as the impact a
solution may have on this earth.
Good designers focus
on how and why something might work, not why it won't work.
Good designers are opportunists,
catalysts of change and creators of experiences.

From our point of view
I think we need more and more designers rather than doctors and engineers. As designers are the creative makers so they should get a separate respect for being the creative makers and for designing the world. Today almost all companies and organizations are working to create an attractive offering for their customers.
Studies show that people who invest in design recoup their investment by a wide margin – whether they are developing their business, goods or services.
Benefits of a good design are:
Screens are less crowded.
Would be less time consuming, 25 percent less time.
Screen would be 20 percent more productive. 25 percent fewer errors.
Improve decision making time.
Training cost is lower.
The organization customers benefit because of improved services.

Good design never goes wasted. If they have that positive vibe then definitely they will be purchase by someone else. But I think the art should be done with at least sweat busting hard work, jeal and joy. The person should feel that essence and should understand the work. It’s not about making the client happy but at the same time lucky to have such a masterpiece with them. Design the project like you have never done before, so that you have some extra income too.
