What is Design
A design is a plan or
specification for the construction of an object or system or for the
implementation of an activity or process, or the result of that plan or
specification in the form of a prototype, product or process. The
verb to design expresses the process of developing a design.
In some cases, the direct construction of an object without an explicit prior
plan (such as in craftwork, some engineering, coding, and graphic design) may
also be considered to be a design activity. The design usually has to satisfy
certain goals and constraints, may take into account aesthetic,
functional, economic, or socio-political considerations, and is expected to
interact with a certain environment. Major examples of designs
include architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, business
processes, circuit diagrams, and sewing patterns.
The person who produces a design is called a designer, which is a term generally used for people who work professionally in one of the various design areas - usually specifying which area is being dealt with (such as a textile designer, fashion designer, product designer, concept designer, web designer (website designer) or interior designer), but also others such as architects and engineers. A designer's sequence of activities is called a design process, possibly using design methods. The process of creating a design can be brief (a quick sketch) or lengthy and complicated, involving considerable research, negotiation, reflection, modeling, interactive adjustment and re-design.

The World Without Design
Design is about something which either makes things work, makes them look & feel good or fulfill some purpose. So technically, without design, nothing (literally nothing) would work. Not even yourself because even Human Beings are a result of extremely complicated & elegant Design!
Humans and even some animals mimic what we see around them. The clumsy (like me) poorly copy nature and design objects for use. The gifted take nature and modify it into beautiful objects turning something as simple as a blade of grass into the sculptured beauty of a suspension bridge.
For an artist nature is the best example for the word ‘Design’. As you walk, there is not much to do. Just walk around and greet some of the people that cross on your way. So naturally, you are hungry and try to find something to eat, now, where? There are not supermarkets or stores, why? Because things like hunting or cooking are art.
Art is any kind of expression of the human soul, this includes feelings and emotions, and so if you removed art from our reality, you would remove everything that requires certain motivation from the human soul. Imagine a world without art is completely impossible because this as simple as having a home or a family is an expression of art that comes from the expression of our souls feelings.
